There has been another delay with Proje...Hi Taurgo

There has been another delay with Project 75. See http://indiatoday.intoday.in/story/french-supplier-faltering-deadlines-breached-scorpene-may-take-another-hit-says-defence-shipyard/1/379926.html :

"The Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL), which is building the [Scorpenes] with DCNS' assistance, has stated that critical spares which were to be supplied by DCNS are yet to materialise despite the deadlines expiring. What makes the crisis worse is the fact that these spares impact the first boat in all sections and thereby the lack of availability is expected to hit progress in construction."

Buying AIP equipped Scorpenes under Project 75I sounds good in principle. However the MESMA AIP offered for Scorpene has many downsides - see http://gentleseas.blogspot.com.au/2014/08/air-independent-propulsion-aip.html .

Regards

PetePetehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02624742078679760819noreply@blogger.com
